Room 322, Wednesday Morning
Didi had packed for the trip to New York (jeans, boots, tank tops, jackets, all in a color palette ranging from black to black -- really, did you expect anything different?) and sat on her bed by the zipped suitcase, waiting for Jaime to get back from his visit with his family.
There was a gaily-wrapped box sitting next to her. Jaime might have forgotten what he'd said the last time she'd asked about when he would wear a kilt -- which she did every so often, just to keep him on his toes -- but she hadn't. And the conditions he'd proposed were, while clearly meant sarcastically, entirely favorable in Didi's eyes.
She checked the wall clock and folded her hands in her lap, completely at peace with her thoughts for the moment.
[OOC: For the roommate, unless someone else needs to grab her before the trip.]

... granted, he had not been aware they were having a serious conversation, but he'd still asked for it! Kinda.

"Oh, yeah, you definitely shouldn't have." He was actually rather amused, though. And glad that he'd taken the time to snag a little something for his roommate, too.

She eyed it. "Maybe you should wear tights. It'll be cold out Saturday." Meaning she hadn't forgotten about wearing it in public, either.

Because five weren't enough. Really.

...
"And what does that have to do with the kilt?" Like he didn't know.

"But if you want to go out into the hall, take this with you." He dug around in his bag for a moment and tossed her a box.

Jaime could probably hear her laughing as she opened it and went down to the bathroom to put the wig on.

It wasn't that the mechanics were all that hard. But it just felt... like he was wearing it wrong.

"I don't know... I don't think it fits right." It fit just fine.

She eyed him up and down and quirked her mouth in a smile. "Oh, my goodness."
He didn't look bad, actually. Just self-conscious.

She understood the concept of sanity breaks, but her own sanity required lots of people and a party.
